Entry Status

1. Entries are open.

2. Entries for the 1K Competition will be accepted until 11:59 pm (UTC), 21 November 2021.

 

Prizes

   1. The winner will receive a Notely gift valued at AUD$150. The prize options may change depending on the winner's location; however, all prize options will total AUD$150.

Who can enter?

1. Entries are open to poets located anywhere in the world.

2. There is no age limit to be deemed eligible.

 

How to enter

1. Entries must be submitted via the Entry Form below.

2. Multiple entries are permitted on the condition of one (1) entry per Instagram account.​

 

Terms and conditions​

1. Each entry must be a single poem (or poem excerpt) of no more than 200 words.

2. Entries must be original works written solely by the poet(s) listed on the Entry Form.

3. Entries must not infringe upon anyone’s copyright.

4. World Of Poetry (WOP) will not be held responsible for any copyright infringements. 

5. Entries may include explicit language, under the condition that all works must not contain unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content.

6. Poems are to be predominantly in English, with the exception of content written in other languages, but still understandable as a whole to English speaking readers.

7. Poems will not be published anywhere without permission gained from the author(s).

8. Copyright in the poem(s) remains with the poet.

9. Entries previously published or broadcasted are eligible. 

10. Feedback for poems will not be provided within this competition. 

 

The judging process

1. Judging is completely anonymous.

2. The selected winner will be contacted via email within two (2) weeks following the end date of the competition.
